Upper Camp Courses

Campers participating in full day RISE, 8:30-3:00, will choose a themed home base where they will participate in their first three courses.  Campers will be placed in age-appropriate groups within their home base.  Campers will also select a course 4 for the week which is an opportunity to travel outside of their home base group for the last course of the day.

 

Campers participating in half day RISE, 12:00-3:00, will choose a themed home base where they will participate in one course with this  group.  Campers will also select a course 4 for the week which is an opportunity to travel outside of their home base group for the last course of the day.

Theme Homebase Options

Creating, Producing and Acting 

Campers will participate in RISE original courses and classic games led by our veteran counselor staff.  Whether creating a movie in Movie Magic Makers, working on improv skills or playing theater games, campers participate in a rich, fun, and entertaining experience while enjoying the magic of the Woodman Theater facility. 

Artists Studio

Campers will visit the studio spaces of our endlessly creative art camp staff.  Each space will provide opportunities for learning and creating! Campers will participate in courses such as, but not limited to, Street Art, Print and Paper Making, Clay, Open Air Watercolor, T-shirt Time, Slime Time, Paper Crafts, Scrunchy-Mask- and Friendship Bracelets, Gnome Home and Fairy House Creating, Origami.

Sport Madness

While enjoying the Moses Brown acreage and field house space, campers will run, kick, jump, throw and play! Campers will experience sports such as, but not limited to,  Basketball, Kickball, Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee Golf, Games in the Grove, Four Square, RISE Olympics.

Science and Building

Campers will participate in a hands-on camp day in courses such as, Woodshop, Lego Mania, Messy Science, Duct Tape ProDUCTivity, States of Matter, and Exploration of Buoyancy and Density. Campers will spend time outside, in the science lab and Y Lab Maker Space. 

Mix It Up

When you want to experience a little bit of everything, Mix it Up does it all. Campers will participate in a variety of thematic activities such as, but not limited to, Cold Cooking, Jewelry Making, Messy Science, Ball Games and much more!

4th Course Selections

Reading and Relaxation

Whether campers want time to do some summer reading, play cards, or just relax, Reading and Relaxation provides a space to settle.

Magic the Gathering

Magic is a collectible card playing game enjoyed by over six million players around the world. Free beginners’ decks are available to anyone ready for a mythic challenge. Where else could elephants, unicorns, monkeys, and dragons play together on a team? 

Scrap It

This course is for those creative minds that can put these scraps to good use! 

Open Studio

Come explore the materials in the art room and create!

Jewelry Making

From friendship bracelets to beading, campers design and create their own jewelry.

Sports, Sports
and more Sports

If you still have some energy left, join this group to play some more games!

Improv

Through Improv games, campers will learn to think fast and have a lot of laughs along the way!
