Marvelous Discoveries (grades 2-6)

Did you know that science is all around us? Science is an adventure in asking questions, making discoveries and sharing fascinating information! When food is cooked, why do the windows get foggy at times? Why is my hand colder after I sanitize my hands? What is potential energy and where can I find it? Campers will explore distinct and unique hands-on activities that engage them in a discovery of further knowledge in physics, chemistry, astronomy, earth science and biology. This camp will be the destination for enjoyment with and learning in science!

Art (grades K-1)

This spring our friends will jump into the engaging world of Pop Art with a modern twist through 3-D paper art, weaving, printing and other exciting approaches to mixed media using liquid watercolors, dot markers, tempera paint sticks and found objects.  Friends will take home 3 vibrant projects, from a giant confetti-full pop-tart woven by hand, a collage inspired by their favorite Pokemon character or creature, and a transformed still life observed from natural objects with ben-day dot inspired bubble blowing as a fun touch.  Friends will key in to the popular trends around them as inspiration to create their personal unique creations.
