Neal Harrell
Director, Boys Lacrosse Camp
Neal Harrell has coached youth and high-school lacrosse for the last 30 years. He began his coaching career in Wilmington, NC at Cape Fear Academy, where he was voted the 1997 NC Lacrosse Coach-of-the-Year. He coached and refereed club and high-school lacrosse in south FL from 2002-2005, and then returned to Wilmington, NC to coach New Hanover High School from 2006-2009. While building a program at NHHS, he helped grow the game of lacrosse throughout the NC public school system.Â
Coach Harrell was the Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Middletown High School in RI from 2016 to 2024, where he helped guide the Islanders to RI State Championships in 2017, 2018 and 2023. He was selected as the 2018 RI Interscholastic League (RIIL) High School Coach-of-the-Year and 2018 US Northeast US Region Coach-of-the-Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).Â
In addition to his high-school coaching duties, Coach Harrell served as President of the Rhode Island Youth Lacrosse League from 2021-2025, hosting more than 2,500 K-8 girls and boys lacrosse players from 17 town teams across RI.Â
He is currently the head coach of the Stallions East 2028 club lacrosse team out of Wrentham, MA.
Coach Harrell teaches the game of lacrosse through the principals of Fundamentals, Accountability, Communication, Teamwork, & Selflessness. Understanding and practicing the FACTS leads to success on, and off, the field of play. Â
