Caitlin (Kelly) Smith
Director, Club Med
Caitlin is a full time middle school teacher at Moses Brown that enjoys teaching students about biology, anatomy and physiology, and biotechnology. She is passionate about helping middle schoolers see the importance of science in the world around them. Caitlin is in her 14th year of teaching science and is completing her 5th year as a middle school science teacher at MB! Her previous positions include 7th grade science teacher in Hopedale, MA and honors biology and Anatomy and Physiology teacher at Germantown Academy in Pennsylvania. At GA, Caitlin wrote the A&P curriculum, utilized biotechnology in the classroom, and was the advisor for Club Med, a club for students interested in careers in medicine. Caitlin believes that exposing middle school students to curricula in A&P and biotechnology will spark an interest in these areas at a young age! She also believes that allowing students to have hands-on lab experiences in these two areas of study will ignite a passion that will continue long after they have left middle school!Â
