Brian Williams
Director, Girls Lacrosse Camp
Brian's passion for coaching began in high school, where he coached youth teams during his junior and senior years in the same Boys Club league that gave him his start. Williams attended the State University of New York at Delhi and the State University of New York Institute of Technology to study computer science, and relocated to Providence, Rhode Island in 1999.
In 2009 Williams enlisted as a coach for Providence Youth Lacrosse and from 2010 to 2013 led the organization as its Girls Program Director. From 2012 to 2014 Williams coached club teams for New England Select Lacrosse League and Next Level Lacrosse. Since 2015 Williams has been the Girls Camp Director for Moses Brown’s summer lacrosse camps.Â
Williams was tapped to direct the Moses Brown program in 2015 and since that time has tallied 9 Rhode Island Interscholastic League Division I State Championships and an overall record of 157 wins and 24 losses. In 2025, the Quakers were ranked 27th in the nation according to Inside Lacrosse.
Williams imparts a philosophy that the game of lacrosse is a gift that has given us each other and that the game should be honored as such. Using a holistic coaching style and based on a foundation of sisterhood, Williams has created a winning culture that is highly competitive in an environment that is fun, inclusive and supportive. Williams values most the personal relationships formed with each player. It is this human connection that enables each girl to be accountable to the program and maximize the application of her unique talents to the benefit of the entire team.
