Studio Playground

Join Studio Playground and Moses Brown School for our performing arts camp! Studio Playground teaches classes based in movement & physical acting. Students explore the benefits of laughter through movement and playful improvisation as they form lasting memories. This program includes 2 performances in Providence, Rhode Island.

In this 3-week camp, students create an original show under the guidance of Artistic Directors, Matthew Bretschneider & Anna Basile. Each day begins with a group warm up and movement-based game. The first week includes ensemble development and theater games to build performance skills. In the second week, students determine the theme for our play, create their own characters, and begin rehearsals. The third week focuses on the production as students are immersed in the rehearsal process.

Camp occurs Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3pm. An invited performance for friends and family takes place the evening of Friday, July 26 on Moses Brown School campus. On Saturday, July 27, there will be a public performance at the Providence Fringe Festival. There is an additional rehearsal prior to the performance on Saturday, July 27.
